Once you're a fan, you're a fan for life. Good or bad.
When I was younger, I was such a fan of old sci-fi. Boy. I'd watch those movie serials all weekend long, and then I'd go home and read these old yellow paperbacks cover to cover. I couldn't get enough of that classic, brain-twisting sci-fi.
And then, that genre came to an end. Today's sci-fi is so different from the thoughtful classics of the 1950s, isn't it? Once it became "science fantasy" I gave up. And, with nothing left to do, I became a different sort of fan.
Don't worry, I'm not spying on you. I simply had my brain transplanted into this Dyson. It's the sort of household device that us sci-fi fans always dreamed about in the 1950s. It's a familiar item, but with an entirely new design! Isn't that AMAZING!
Anyway, don't feel any need to entertain me now that you know I'm sentient. I'm perfectly fine just existing here, keeping your home temperate and comfortable and replaying the classics of yesteryear over and over in my head. Say, did you ever read War Of The Worlds? What a CLASSIC!
