THE LADDER OF SUCCESS
Ladders are inspirational, mostly because climbing up is so metaphor-ready. For example:
"Climb the ladder of success by stepping on the rungs of others' mistakes."
"When you reach the top of the ladder, you must build a new ladder to ascend to even greater heights. So bring ladder materials with you before you climb the first ladder."
"Failure or success: the former or the ladder?"
"Are you the ladder or are you the climber? I contend that you are the climber because ladders can't understand human speech."
"Hey someone just left this ladder here. I guess we should climb it because maybe it's a metaphor. Shut up, Dave, I know we're supposed to be at football practice. But there's a ladder here."
"Behind every great man is a ladder and on that ladder is a great woman photobombing the man in a most successful way."
"Be the ladder you want to see in the world, not this dumb broken ladder that you found in the dumpster. Seriously, why do you keep bringing home these crap garbage ladders? We have a garage full of dead ladders. Why can't you just be here for the kids? Give me the car keys, I'm going out for a while. (while driving away...) Get rid of those ladders!"
